What have i not done enough?

i spent some really intimate with the Holy Spirit last thurs and fri evenings. Thank God, the Father, for His drawing so near. :)

Have you ever asked yourself the question 'What have i not done enough?' ?

When i was prompted to pray for the youth generation, my spirit was really in pain, and that was the question i asked myself then. It was so painful that i lost even the words to pray, and simply allowed the Holy Spirit to groan and ache within me.

What have i not done enough?
Why are there so many girls out there who are not living lives that respect even themselves?
Do young people really think that it is alright to do 'some things' as long as they're done in privacy?

'Alright' is such a loosely used word, an excuse word. I agree with grandma Ps Julie - True character and integrity is doing the right thing even when no person is watching. Oh well, but God is, the God who knows the absolute rights and wrongs.

In the excruciating moments of interceding and praying in the spirit, God led me to study the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 25-37 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2010:25-37;&version=31;), especially on the steps the good samaritan took to help the injured man to the best of his ability. This becomes a good checklist for myself, in reviewing if i have done enough for every person God has placed on my path, including many of you who are reading my post now. :)

What is doing enough for any person God placed on your path:
(note the word 'enough' here refers to our human abilities. We ourselves can never do completely enough, cos' we need God to activate the supernatural in whatever we do)

verse 33b 'He (the good samaritan) took pity on him (the injured man)'. [We have to feel the compassion. Every action must arise out of a compassion and love for the person in need.]

verse 34a 'he bandaged his wounds' [Meeting the person's most straightforward and superficial need first]

verse 34b 'he put the man on his own donkey' [The injured man is literally above the samaritan. Are you willing to put the person above yourself and your own needs?]

verse 34b 'took him to a inn and took care of him' [It should be more than a 'touch and go' gesture. Do you bandage someone's wounds, only to leave him to defend for himself straight after that? He needs our support, our nursing, our prayers.]

verse 35a 'took out two silver coins' and asked the innkeeper to look after him [he willingly sacrificed even his possession (more than offering physical help), without the person asking.]

verse 35b he promised to reimburse any extra expense to the innkeeper in nursing the man. [the samaritan's heart is to want to ensure that the man heals completely and can stand on his own after that.]

As i was writing these down, i began to wonder how the injured man feels through all these. I suspect he must have been so touched by such authentic love, that a stranger would give so much to him, without even him asking.

This is the reality of God's love! You may not know Him, not understand Him or even find Him a nuisance, but the truth is, He has already given His love to you.

Brothers and sisters, let's go out to love and give as the good samaritan! Let love be our motivation!
What have you not done enough? *grins*
